SIPA : ABBI Nominee 2020
Solo International Performing Arts 2020 was chosen to be one of the nominees for the awards of Anugerah Bangga Buatan Indonesia (ABBI) 2020 managed by the Deputy of Digital Economy and Creative Products, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia. SIPA got a nominee for the “EVENT” category in ABBI 2020.
The Director of SIPA, R.Ay. Irawati Kusumorasri said, “Alhamdulillah, SIPA has received an appreciation from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as an ABBI nominee. The hard-working of raising SIPA image in the national and international scale cannot be separated from the royal spectators of SIPA itself, stakeholders, as well as the central and the regional governments. We do hope that SIPA is able to be one of the three best events winners in ABBI 2020.”
ABBI is assessed based on some criteria, including the local wisdom, social and/or environmental impacts, business innovation during pandemic, the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)/IP, marketing strategies, and the abilities to adapt during pandemic.
SIPA is one of the prestigious events for people in Solo that meets the criteria for 2020 ABBI nominees. SIPA always involves the elements of national culture by showing performances from national performers on the SIPA grand stage. SIPA also has a multiplier effect towards society by increasing their economy through the bazaar held by SIPA.
The innovations and creativities of SIPA 2020 performances were seen in the 12th SIPA exhibition held virtually via ‘SIPA Festival’ YouTube channel during pandemic. Based on this phenomenon, the marketing of SIPA Virtual Festival is boosted through social media in YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Website.
SIPA 2020 was successfully conducted with 37 thousand spectators on the first day, 10 thousand on the second day, and nearly 7 thousand on the third day. It is expected that SIPA accomplishment might also enhance the economy rate of Solo people.
