Solo, 15 Maret 2025 – After going through the open recruitment process, the prospective volunteers for Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2025 participated in Volunteer Training 1, which was held enthusiastically and energetically. The orientation featured two main speakers: Aprizal Rizaldi Naim, S.H., who presented on the Introduction to SIPA and the World of Events, and Retno Wulandari, S.H., M.Si., who discussed Public Speaking. In the first session, Aprizal introduced the history, vision, and mission of SIPA as an international arts festival based in Solo, and provided in-depth insights into how a large-scale event is organized, from planning to execution. The second session was led by Retno Wulandari in an interactive manner. She equipped the volunteers with basic public speaking techniques, confidence-building exercises, and effective communication tips—all crucial for volunteers when interacting with the public during the festival. This activity marked an important first step in preparing volunteers to welcome the vibrant and culturally collaborative SIPA 2025 event. Solo, 22 Maret 2025 – The training program for volunteers of the Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2025 continues. Held at the Surakarta City Education Office, the Volunteer Orientation Session 2 was conducted with two competent speakers in their respective fields. The first session was led by R. Ay. Febri Hapsari Dipokusumo, who delved deeply into Ethics and Communication. During her session, she emphasized the importance of professional conduct, politeness, and effective communication skills when interacting with visitors and international guests from diverse backgrounds who will attend the SIPA event. The second session was led by Gembong Hadi Wibowo, P.Si., M.Si., focusing on Solo City Tourism. Volunteers were encouraged to gain a deeper understanding of Solo’s cultural richness, tourist destinations, and local potential as a cultural city hosting SIPA. With this knowledge, volunteers are expected to become informative and friendly tourism ambassadors for guests from around the world.
